Principal's Welcome

I am excited to welcome you to the home of The Thunder. It is our belief students will have the opportunity to strive in academics while enjoying all of the experiences Lake Region has to offer.

Lake Region has a variety of opportunities for every student to explore and ways to create lasting memories. We offer award winning academies, diverse clubs, athletics, arts, and music for students to round out their high school experience preparing for college and career placement.

I encourage every student and parent to view our website and find an area of interest to discuss with our guidance department, academic advisors, or club sponsors to become involved beyond the pursuits of the classroom. We take pride in providing each student the means to realize opportunities that are within reach and take part in the legacy of Lake Region High School.

I look forward to the journey that lies ahead this school year!

Mary Jo Costine

Principal
Lake Region High School

Welcome to Lake Region!

We are a safe, caring, and cooperative environment with high expectations for all students.

We develop life-long learners who utilize a problem-solving approach built on strong foundational skills and global awareness.

Lake Region Senior

We opened our doors August 14, 1995. Today, our enrollment has grown to over 1400 students, including 289 seniors.  We operate seven academies. These programs are similar to a “school within a school” and offer many different career tracks.  We invite students grades 9-12 throughout Eagle Lake, South Winter Haven, and North Bartow to become part of the LRHS legacy.

Alma Mater to thee we sing, as our voices raise.

Spirit, pride and loyalty to our school we praise.

Memories we'll hold in our hearts evermore, they will signify.

Silver and blue to the Thunder we're true, of Lake Region High!
